The grocery and restaurant reviews are only a sample of the restaurants located on the island. All restaurants listed are local to the island, which offer unique dining experiences. We hope you enjoy your dining while staying at Pelican Watch Beach House!

If you are flying into Mobile or Dauphin Island, if you have a long drive or will be arriving late, or if you just don't like grocery shopping while on your way to the beach, then this is for you! Place your grocery order and leave the rest to Dauphin Island Hospitality! They will pick up, deliver, and stock everything you need to help get you settled in.
Delicious is all we have to say. You may order ahead and pick it up. Mondays are omelet days. Either get up early and stand in line, or call-in after 10:00AM. We like to each order a four-egg omelet, bring it home to eat on the deck, and save half for the next morning. We reheat it in the oven or in a skillet. It is so good!

This is my favorite restaurant. No one in my family has ever been disappointed. The blackened snapper with a side salad and sweet potato fries is my go-to dinner, when snapper is on the menu.
Great brick oven cooked pizza. Delicious wings, too! We always order a pizza and wings when we are about an hour away (closer in the off season) and pick it up on our way to the house. We unload the car then hang out on the deck eating pizza and wings as we look at the stars in the sky and the twinkling lights across the bay.

Not your typical restaurant. This sports a walk-up window where you place your order. They have outdoor seating at picnic tables. We always order our food to go and eat on the deck. The BBQ is fantastic, and I am obsessed with their loaded nachos. If you order them and plan to eat at Pelican Watch, be sure to have them package everything separately so your chips don't get soggy!
We have eaten here several times. It's the only restaurant that always has Trigger Fish and Red Snapper on the menu. Look it up before you plan to go because the nights they are open depend on the season.

It wouldn't be fair to list all these great places to eat and not include Skinner's Seafood. This is not a restaurant, but they sell fresh seafood! You may call in your order and pick it up, or take your chances and just walk in. However, once they sell out of fish, they close up! You may also have your fish steamed, so you don't have to cook it. We've had ours steamed, and we've picked it up and cooked it ourselves. One can't go wrong either way!
This is a bit more upscale. It is certainly a unique dining experience, and the wine selection is very expansive. They offer charcuterie, sandwiches, and other light meals. Look at the menu to make sure there are options for your littles.
I have not been here, so I can't recommend or not recommend it. All I can say is, it's Pelican Pub!
We like to go here for lunch and sit out on the docks. It's located directly below Pelican Pub.
Again, I have not been here, but I plan to! My friend went to the island and her adult kids ate there twice. They loved it!
For ice cream, pizza, and snow cones, this is the place. We haven't been there, but family members have. They ate lunch next door at Reel Deal, then walked over to Island Rainbow for an ice cream dessert.
There are several more places to eat, but I have no experience with them. The ones listed are on the island and are not the typical chain restaurants.
